Let's take a moment to embrace the demands
Well let's qualify that as a typical day in the life of a programmer who keeps Multi-Edit in their coding arsenal.
of being a great developer.
Being a Multi-Edit user means you made extensive customizations. You have changed the colors to those you like, modified the command map and written a large collection of macros, to meet your specific needs. You created the perfect editor and as a consequence, you are able to do your code editing without having to think about what your fingers are doing. Hallelujah!
Even when your travel and commute time increased, you simply dumped the desktop, moved your Multi-Edit setup to your laptop, and continued to do what you always do: crank out code without thinking about the tools you use.
But being that good means more demands. During the day, coworkers ask for your help re-working/designing code for their own projects. You're known for coding at unheard of speeds, so when these requests come you take the driver's seat and begin typing. But when you do, you falsely feel at home. Since your co-workers also use Multi-Edit, your mind tosses out a big "why not," And you boot up the ME power tool. I guess, we all know what happens next...
First you notice the colors are different. Not usually a problem. Yet the disparity does not stop there. You need to examine another file so you hit your keys to bring up the 'file open dialog' and it doesn't open. "What's going on?" you brain squirms out loud and then you realize, your coworker is using a different command map. ARGH!
Since they are still there (Who leaves during this kind of epic struggle?), you decide it would be best if they ran the keyboard and trade places. Things hum along pretty well at this point and then you ask them to run a specific macro. "What macro?" comes the return query. You describe which one and where it lies AND realize that this macro is just one of the many custom macros you wrote but, unfortunately, you never shared. 5
Yet you are diligent, and you continue the struggle, man versus machine (or rather the code). Without your standard toolset, you finally get those lines of text working and you return to your own humble office with a measure of relief. Who knew your keyboard could feel so welcoming? Oh yes, it's just another frightful day of coding without your copy of Multi-Edit.
But as you sit down in your ME comfort zone, in the back of your mind there's a thought and a question...

What is CSE Validator?

How to use CSE Validator
First, install CSE HTML Validator Pro. CSE HTML Validator Pro is required, because the Lite version will not work with Multi-Edit.
If you did not select to install the CSE Validator integration when you installed Multi-Edit, then you need to run the ME install. Remember to have your license and release code in hand for the ME installer. (If you do not have your codes, email sales@multieditsoftware.com and provide your registration information. Your codes will be emailed back to you.) When reinstalling, you only need to select the CSE Integration; you may uncheck the options you already have installed to make the installation faster. If you haven't updated recently, you may also want to consider downloading the latest update (Be sure to select all options you want to use, so they get updated as well).
Once CSE HTML Validator is installed, open an HTML file. You will notice several extra buttons on the HTML toolbar, these are the CSE HTML Validator buttons:
'CseValidate: Configure'
'CseValidate: SetOptions'
'CseValidate: Validate'
Simply click the validate button, and the results of validating your HTML code will be displayed.
After editing your HTML to fix errors, just click the validate button again to confirm that the fixes are correct.
You may want to click on the 'CseValidate: Configure' button to setup all your options with CSE Validator.

Customer Service Tips...
Why is registration important?
Registering Multi-Edit serial numbers has three major benefits. The first is e-mail notification when a new release or product is available. No longer do you need to check our web site constantly for new releases or products. The second benefit is that it allows Customer Service and Tech Support to assist you quickly. The departments are able to act faster because we can locate serial numbers and release codes more efficiently when a customer is fully registered, e.g. searching by Company Name and User Name is faster than searching by e-mail address or date of purchase. The third benefit is that if you qualify for a free upgrade or other promotion, the appropriate department can easily validate and contact you.
Note: If all the information requested: name, company (if applicable), address, phone number, fax number (if applicable), e-mail address, and serial number, is not provided, your registration will not be processed.

Why is contacting the appropriate department important?
Contacting the appropriate department has two major benefits. The first is a fast response time. No one wants to wait for their answers. Our goal is to help/support/answer you within a 24-hour time frame, excluding weekends, office closures, and holidays. A call to the correct department eliminates your email from being forwarded aimlessly about the office and extending your response time. The second benefit is getting the correct information the first time. If the wrong department is contacted and insufficient information is provided, an incorrect response may be recieved because of each department's specialty. We do our best to ensure that this does not happen.
When do I contact the Customer Service and Sales Department?
Contact the Customer Service and Sales Department if you have any question(s) regarding product purchases, the loss of (for any reason) the serial number and/or release code, or to re-download (for any reason). To ensure a fast response, please remember to include as much information as possible when contacting these departments via e-mail at sales@multieditsoftware.com.
When do I contact the Tech Support Department?
Contact the Tech Support Department only when the question(s) pertains to a problem with Multi-Edit during or post-installation. Tech Support can be reached via e-mail at support@multieditsoftware.com, on the forums http://www.multieditsoftware.com/forums/, or over the phone at 480-610-2700 opt 2. E-mail and forums are preferred over phone calls because our tech support department is not available 24 hours a day. They also allow the technician time to recreate the issue, when applicable, and reply back with a detailed answer.
Still not sure which department is needed? You can either contact the Sales Desk via e-mail at sales@multieditsoftware.com or talk to the first available person via phone at 480-610-2700 opt 1. The e-mail or phone call will then be forwarded to the appropriate person.
